Located at 110 Wall Street, WhyHotel’s newest hospitality facility is a former office building, the majority of which were converted into stylish apartments in 2015. Today the building comprises just over 200 units and amenities such as a 7th floor terrace with outdoor terrace. grill and kitchen, fitness center with a spin studio, utility room with ping pong and pool tables and community kitchens.

WhyHotel will operate the building as a mix of short-term guest stays and longer-term resident leases. Ideally located for leisure and work, WhyHotel’s Hospitality Living model will help clients and residents, whether they are in town for the weekend or looking for accommodation for months on end.

“New York City is a market we have had our eyes on for a long time now, ”said Jason fudin, CEO and co-founder of WhyHotel. “Our partnership with the Rudin family is an exciting opportunity to reinvigorate an incredibly well-designed building to bring hospitality and home together in a way that we hope will become common in the United States over time. The Rudin family, as they have been in real estate many times, is at the forefront of this trend.I can’t think of a better place than the heart of FiDi, where people come from all over the world, to launch this product.

As lifestyles and travel continue to change due to the pandemic, and particularly in markets like New York City, the modalities, reasons and durations of trips and rentals are also changing. As offices and leisure activities continue to reopen, there is a clear need for a solution that covers both hospitality and home in this market. Residents of the building can expect the benefits of fully furnished apartments and a hospitality-oriented staff, while hotel guests can expect the comforts of home with extra space in the room. -beyond a traditional hotel experience.

“As a company that owns and manages more than four million square feet of residences across New York City, we are constantly striving to improve the tenant experience and evaluate new ways to provide our residents with the best services and amenities in the best areas of the city, ”said Ray houseknecht, Senior Vice President and Head of Multifamily at Rudin Management Company, the operational arm of Rudin Family Holdings. “This partnership with WhyHotel at 110 Wall Street will allow us to offer potential tenants a flexible and convenient short-term or long-term housing option in the heart of the financial district.”
