Upcoming luxury resort in the Katara Hills
A new resort comprising 15 luxury villas and exquisite features will emerge on Katara Hills, it has been announced.
An agreement was signed on Sunday between Katara – the Cultural Village Foundation and Estithmar Holding to launch the project, named Katara Hills LXR Hotels and Resorts.
The agreement was signed by Prof. Dr. Khalid bin Ibrahim al-Sulaiti, Managing Director of Katara, and Henrik H Christiansen, CEO of Estithmar Holding Group, in the presence of Ramez al-Khayyat, Vice Chairman of Estithmar Holding, during of a press conference. held at Katara Hall 32. The Katara Hills LXR Hotels and Resorts project comprises 15 luxury villas, each with a private pool and occupying a prime location on Katara Hills. It will provide guests with distinctive and enchanting views of the surrounding greenery, nature and Katara Beach.
The villas will have an exquisite interior design and decoration, which will make them very attractive for tourists and visitors. The project will offer the opportunity to enjoy a quiet stay amidst the vast green spaces along the Katara Hills, in addition to offering luxurious features such as a spa, a luxury restaurant and qualified staff to serve the guests.
In his address, Prof. Dr. al-Sulaiti said the project is integrated with Katara’s other sustainable cultural and tourism projects. It is considered as one of the advanced tourism projects that keeps pace with the massive achievements seen in the country and is in line with the tireless efforts to host the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
He pointed out that the new project will provide visitors to Katara with a luxurious hospitality facility in harmony with the green surroundings of Katara Hills. In addition, it will allow guests to enjoy the various cultural, artistic, heritage and sports activities organized by Katara throughout the year, thus promoting the concept of sustainable cultural tourism. Through this, it will help to further strengthen the development of tourism in Qatar, he added.
Meanwhile, Christiansen expressed his joy to be part of the new project, which will further boost the tourism scene in Qatar. He said that while Qatar “is witnessing a great transformation to become an international tourist destination with the hosting of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, we can build a lasting and permanent legacy for the future through such partnerships.
