Swinburne Alumni’s Luxury Bathrobe Business Gets Global Attention
Just ten months after launch, Swinburne graduated Maddie McNab’s luxury dress business, Dressed, attracts the attention of the whole world.
Luxury pure silk organza dresses have featured in the Daily Maithe. They were endorsed by celebrities like influencer Delilah Belle and entrepreneur Yris Palmer, and shared with Khloe Kardashian’s 188 million Instagram followers, resulting in increased sales in the United States.
‘I reached out to Khloe Kardashian’s stylist Janelle and she came back to me to let me know that Khloe was obsessed and would love them all! I was on the phone with my grandma when Janelle’s email arrived and we both started crying tears of joy! Ms. McNab says.
Ms McNab graduated from Swinburne’s Bachelor of Business with a major in international business and a minor in entrepreneurship and innovation in 2019.
“I didn’t know what I wanted to do other than be my own boss someday, and I loved what Swinburne had to offer when no other class really appealed to me.”
Ms. McNab’s enjoyed her time in Swinburne, especially the opportunity to go on exchange to the University of Cincinnati in the United States in 2018. It was when she was in the United States that she started looking for a job. dress to wear while living in a shared dormitory.
Rather than “the big and comfy type, grandma,” she wanted something to make a statement. Unable to find a luxurious fabric maxi dress for less than $ 1,000, she began to brainstorm Robed’s business concept with her two design student sisters.
During COVID-19 lockdowns in 2020, Ms McNab put her plan into action and launched Robed in December.

Ms. McNab says she doesn’t just want to grow the brand. Her mission is to support every woman and create opportunities for them to feel empowered.
“Society makes too many comparisons and judgments about women. We should embrace and celebrate each body type, each origin and see the beauty in the uniqueness of each.
Ms. McNab’s hard work and business skills have contributed to her significant success by making herself known to stylists, celebrities and influencers.
In the future, Ms. McNab hopes to expand Robed to become even more inclusive and is currently working on new product launches.
