Club Med has appointed a new CEO for its East, South Asia and Pacific region, while CHMWarnick and Valor Hospitality have been doing promotions.
Rachael Harding appointed Executive Director of Club Med East, South and Pacific Asia
Club Med has appointed Rachael Harding CEO of East, South and Pacific Asia.
Harding, who joined Club Med in 2018 as Managing Director of Club Med Pacific (Australia and New Zealand), will move to Shanghai to lead management of the Asia-Pacific region (excluding Greater China) as the company sails in the current market dynamics.
She succeeds Xavier Desaulles, who has headed Club Med’s Asia Pacific Markets for 5 years and has decided to leave to take some time with his family. She has over 20 years of experience in the travel industry. Prior to joining Club Med, she spent 15 years working with The Travel Corporation on brands such as Trafalgar and Contiki in various sales, distribution and marketing roles. From 2011 to 2018, she worked as a Sales Manager at Trafalgar Australia.
CHMWarnick expands its management team
CHMWarnick, a provider of hotel asset management and owner advisory services, has promoted executive team members Kristie Dickinson, Derek Olsen and Larry Trabulsi to CEO and partner of the company.
A 29-year hospitality industry veteran, Dickinson is a founding member of the CHMWarnick team. She has advised clients on over 200 hotels across all product levels. She specializes in developing asset repositioning plans, identifying value improvement strategies, underwriting acquisitions and optimizing value through asset management.
In his role as Managing Director / EVP, Dickinson continues to focus on the company’s revenue strategy, business development and strategic growth initiatives for the company and the portfolio, while working with the management team. assets to improve customer service offerings.
Olsen brings 29 years of experience in the hospitality industry in the areas of hotel investment, brokerage, advisory and asset management. As Managing Director / EVP, he will continue his efforts to advise owners, developers, investors and lenders on acquiring, repositioning and valuing hotel real estate. He is responsible for the asset management of an approximately $ 500 million portfolio of hotel clients, including a wide range of operations ranging from newly built luxury / lifestyle assets to Selected service portfolios located in primary and secondary markets across the United States.
Olsen has expertise in planning the development and operational ramp-up of new hotels, having opened two properties in the past 24 months alone. He is also responsible for leading a team focused on equity and debt acquisition services and oversees the implementation of special projects related to CHMWarnick’s technology platform, Proph + IT. His experience spans a wide range of land uses including hotels and resorts, luxury condominiums, condo-hotels, fractional, timeshare, fully owned and golf courses.
Trabulsi has 27 years of experience in the hospitality industry in operations, consulting and more than half of his career dedicated to creating value for hotel owners through asset management. He has extensive experience in capital planning and renovation oversight and has been involved in one-time renovation projects over $ 30 million. Trabulsi also has experience in a wide range of land uses including hotels, resorts, restaurants, golf courses, marinas, and other recreational assets. Its clients range from developers and private equity firms to lenders and public entities, including convention center authorities, the National Park Service, the US Forest Service, and the US Department of Defense.
As Managing Director / EVP, he is responsible for overseeing a team and asset managing a client portfolio valued at $ 1 billion in hotel real estate. He has extensive experience in development, capital planning and overseeing large capital projects. He is also actively engaged in advising the lending community on distressed assets and hotel receivership mandates.
Valor Hospitality promoted to Director of Operations
After recently announcing the growth of its UK portfolio, Valor Hospitality has expanded its central management team, with the promotion of Ed Cross to COO.
In his new role, he will join existing COOs Phil Bland and Mark Thacker to oversee the management of Valor’s 34 hotels within his portfolio, under brands such as IHG, Hilton and Marriott.
With over 20 years of hospitality experience in various management positions across the UK, most recently as Managing Director of Valor’s DoubleTree by Hilton Manchester Piccadilly, he brings a wealth of knowledge to this role, reports the society. He started his Valor career in 2016 as Managing Director of DoubleTree by Hilton Chester.
