Obituary: James “Jim” Ludwig | Lemont, Illinois Patch
LEMONT, IL – James “Jim” Leslie Ludwig, 61, died on August 11, 2021. Jim was born on April 28, 1960 in Arlington, Washington. Jim was the only child of Reverend Thomas L. Ludwig and Priscilla A. Ludwig (nÃ©e Caddell).
The Ludwigs moved to Lemont when Jim was five, his obituary says. Jim attended elementary and secondary schools in Lemont, graduating in 1978, and also attended Joliet Junior College and Radio School.
Jim was predeceased by his father, Thomas Ludwig and is survived by his mother Priscilla Ludwig. Jim was a member of the Lemont Classic Car Club and a train enthusiast.
Jim was a member of the Lemont United Methodist Church and performed in all but one of the Last Supper paintings on Palm Sunday for more than 30 years, according to his obituary. Jim played the role of the disciple, Thaddeus.
During his professional career, Jim has worked for Carsons, Schneider National Inc. and Walmart Logistics.
Jim passed away on August 11, 2021, after an extended stay in several healthcare facilities. While there, Jim was on kidney dialysis and eventually died after several strokes, his obituary says. His body will be cremated with a memorial service to be held at 11 am September 25 at Lemont United Methodist Church, 25 W. Custer St., Lemont.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for memorial donations to be made to the United Methodist Church of Lemont.
