New luxury resort in preparation for North Myrtle Beach
NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – A man known for residential property development is making a name for himself in the commercial world and his new adventures include creating a luxury resort in North Myrtle Beach.
Michael King is the owner of KingOne Properties International.
His company bought 1.3 acres of land along Ninth Avenue South, just off US Highway 17. It’s less than a mile from North Myrtle Beach Town Hall.
As part of Phase 1 of this project, King says he is transforming approximately 14,000 square feet into a new luxury facility called Lake View Commons.
King says he has already brought a taste of luxury to residential development in our area. He says it’s time to bring the “South Florida” touch to the commercial real estate industry.
“I wanted to bring South Florida to South Carolina,” King said. “One thing you’ll find in South Florida is the modern look now, with the white tiling we’re going to be using for Lake View Commons. It’s a whole new look for our region. Many of our shopping areas are similar. I just wanted to be different.
The luxury Lake View Commons center will consist of six units including a doctor’s office, interior designer and financial advisor.
King says the center will be the second location for a well-known restaurant, Crave Italian Oven and Bar.
The company also purchased 1.6 acres of land across Ninth Avenue South near Dick’s Pond Superstore. He says the land will be part of Phase 2 of Lake View Commons.
He says it’s too early to confirm who the tenants of this property might be, but he’s already getting calls about it.
“I have already had a few restaurants that contacted me, very good restaurants that we have here in our area. A few others have expressed interest. North Myrtle Beach is so hot right now. We’re just excited about what’s going on in the North Myrtle Beach area, ”King said.
Phase I of Lake View Commons is expected to be operational around the same time next year.
King is hoping the businesses will open just in time for the 2023 season.
