Luxury Tenants Register with Spiga 26
Hines, the global real estate company, has secured two luxury brands as new tenants, Drumohr and Borsalino, which plan to open their flagship stores alongside world-renowned brands such as Moschino, Sergio Rossi and Kering at Spiga 26 in Milan.
Following the recent restoration of the historic Palazzo Pertusati, Spiga 26 is partially open and the 315 m² Drumohr boutique will face the inner courtyard with three shop windows. The brand, founded in 1770, is famous for its fine knitwear which has won over a loyal and high-end international clientele. The layout and atmosphere of the retail space aims to provide an optimal showcase for its collections which are created from the finest yarns and fabrics, and are manufactured with environmental sustainability in mind.
Spiga 26 intends to house the iconic collections of the Borsalino brand, universally recognized for its luxury hats, its 160-year Italian craft tradition and its notable clientele including movie stars, artists and celebrities. Covering an area of 70 m², the Borsalino boutique aims to be light and airy, designed with linear lines and two floor-to-ceiling showcases overlooking Via della Spiga to showcase the style and extraordinary details of men’s hats and women.
“As of July 2022, less than a year after the space was marketed, Spiga 26 is approximately 90% leased, which speaks to the quality of the location and design of the project. We are in final negotiations for the remaining retail space,” said Mario Abbadessa, Senior Managing Director and Country Head of Hines Italy. “The visionary spirit of the project and the desire to develop a new creative and sustainable center in a place symbolizing tradition, elegance and quality have found an echo among prestigious brands which, in addition to their extraordinary heritage, are recognized for their marked capacity for innovation. This reflects the international image and appeal of Spiga 26 and Via della Spiga itself.
