Busch Gardens Tampa Bay is located in Florida and is home to many attractions including roller coasters such as Iron Gwazi, Tigris, SheiKra, and Cheetah Hunt.

Unfortunately for some guests visiting Busch Gardens Tampa Bay recently, they had an unexpected experience riding the Cheetah Hunt.

TikToker user rico11281128 shared his recent social media experience in a video. The video begins by showing him and his family riding Cheetah Hunt, when suddenly the ride stops.

The Busch Gardens guest can be heard saying “That didn’t happen last time”, before looking at the camera and saying “So we’re on the roller coaster and it just broke down and this one speed up stupidly.”

“We’re going to melt if we stand still,” the guest continued. The video includes many clips of the guest giving updates, but overall it looks like the runners were stuck there for over half an hour, in the scorching sun, with no food or water. .

Other guests even walked up to the decks and stared at them asking if they were okay and what was going on.

Eventually, a member of the Busch Gardens team approached the vehicle, but then quickly drove away, leaving guests confused and frustrated.

Luckily, the team member returned and finally got the roller coaster running again. You can see the full video below or by clicking here.

The TikTok user also commented on the video, writing:

More than 1/2 hour in full sun, more than 100 degrees. There is no logic in not letting us out and following the worker to a safe place.

He also received a ton of backlash from other TikTok users, but he wanted to clear up some of the situation by writing:

The facts… I did not complain to any worker. I took my children to an air-conditioned building and offered them drinks. It was my priority, not a refund!

Busch Gardens describes Cheetah Hunt as follows:

Celebrating the fastest land animal, Tampa Bay’s longest roller coaster quickly raced and made its way onto the list of favorite roller coasters. This triple-launch roller coaster carries riders above the park and then descends along the ground through a rocky gorge. At 4,400 feet long, Cheetah Hunt® is the longest thrill ride in the park!
