Arash Azarbarzin appointed CEO of Highgate
Property investment and hotel management firm Highgate has appointed industry pioneer Arash Azarbarzin, who previously headed SH Hotels & Resorts, as CEO.
Announced in the midst of a year of transformation, this key hire means the company is focusing more on building a world-class team and expanding its luxury and lifestyle expertise.
A time of growth
In his new role as CEO of Highgate, Arash Azarbarzine will work in partnership with the company’s co-founders and directors to build on its highly entrepreneurial culture, cultivate and retain talent while expanding relationships with industry partners. Together, the team will also put more emphasis on the company’s environmental, social and corporate governance strategy, drawing on Azarbarzin’s experience in modern and sustainable luxury.
As part of his duties, the former CEO of SH Hotels & Resorts lead the creation of specialized food, beverage and marketing teams.

Sustainable luxury lifestyle
Azarbarzin will draw on over 30 years of hotel leadership experience with luxury brands such as Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, St Regis, SLS and W Hotels. He most recently served as CEO of SH Hotels & Resorts, spearheading the company’s growth behind the 1 Hotels, Baccarat Hotels and Treehouse Hotels brands.
The new Highgate recruit has a diploma in hotel and restaurant management from the United States International University and is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park. In 2020, he joined the board of directors of the American Hospitality and Accommodation Association as good as AMAALA development Advisory board.
