20 Black Friday travel deals – all the best flights, discounts and vacation codes in one place
2022 will be the year of the “catch-up consumer,” according to the ABTA travel agent association, as we make up for missed trips during the pandemic.
wasn’t that supposed to be in 2021?
Well yes. But we are where we are, and there is no doubt that the discounts offered in many Black Friday travel deals this year – which in some cases will remain valid until 2023.
As consumer confidence falters across Europe due to winter spikes in Covid infection rates, hotels, airlines, cruises and travel agents are all eager to encourage bookings.
As always, approach travel bargains as you would any other purchase: buy what you really want, pay attention to applicable dates, minimum spend, or blackout days (e.g. holidays), and check. the general conditions.
Remember to apply the savings claimed rule (a 25pc discount can be on a high rate that really only applies during peak months, for example). Black Friday travel deals aren’t always as they appear.
